Meteorologist Melinda Ball

Meteorologist Melinda Ball has always been interested in the weather.  Growing up in south Florida, she always enjoyed watching afternoon thunderstorms develop.  Watching the weather became a fascination as family recreation always depended upon the current weather conditions.  Melinda eventually studied Meteorology and received a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Florida State University.  Melinda has over 10 years of forecasting experience.  Melinda has forecasted the weather for television stations all across the southeast including WMDT Salisbury, Maryland, WIS Columbia, South Carolina, WSAV Savannah, Georgia, WBTW Florence/Myrtle Beach, WCIV Charleston, South Carolina, News14 Raleigh North Carolina, and WRDW Augusta, Georgia. Melinda has also worked as a volunteered with the National Weather Service in Wilmington, North Carolina.  Melinda is the Official Meteorologist of the National Auto Sport Association Southeast division, is a Skywarn Spotter with the National Weather Service, and is a member of the American Meteorological Society.
